2020 Convention

WWA Convention

September 4-6, 2020

We are in the middle of a global pandemic and it is affecting all of us in many ways. The WWA Board — taking into account the current situation with Coronavirus Covid-19, shelter-in-place orders across many states, and predictive models for the disease and how it may continue to spread across the nation — made the  decision to delay to our Annual Convention.

We will not hold the convention in June but instead will move it to September.

Working with the Holiday Inn Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City, South Dakota, we have been able to secure new dates for the convention and now will meet September 4-6 (over Labor Day Weekend). We will need to make some changes in the convention program to accommodate these new dates. Some scheduled sessions may be changed or cancelled. At this time it is too early to have a firm schedule, but I will make that available to you just as soon as we do have it. 

If you have already made a room reservation, the Holiday Inn will automatically change your existing hotel reservation to correspond with the new dates and will send you a new confirmation (that may take a week or so). When you get that confirmation, please double-check to be certain the revised reservation is for the dates in September when you will be in Rapid City.

Your existing convention registration is also automatically rolled to the new dates. If we have changes in meals or events you registered and paid for, I will make adjustments as needed. If you have not yet registered for the convention, you may still do so using the link below. 

If you have already made airline reservations, I would encourage you to change them as soon as you can to hopefully avoid any penalties. 

I realize a change like this may create conflicts with other scheduled activities, so if you find that you are unable to attend the convention in September, please let me know no later than May 1 and I will cancel your registration and refund fees paid, with no penalty.
